Margaret -
When I read your post I was shocked! I told God to have mercy on you in Jesus name. Margaret it is not a waste of time to worship a higher power. I am a witness that there is such a peace when one is going thru something that you WILL NOT care of the world issues because one is intune w/God in the spiritual realm thru Christ Jesus. I will pray for you. God Bless u in Jesus name.

=)

The word of God says in....
Hosea 4: 6 My people perish from a lack of knowledge.
I LOVE U! Your Sister in Christ - Julie

I get very bored by this sort of thing - not your post, but the sort of thing you've written about. Who cares what Jesus or Mohammed did, or even if they existed? I don't. Occasionally, I've been invited to review books by 'humanist' scholars who've gone to great lengths to prove or disprove theological claims. I never do. Life's too short.

Watching the Sunday morning God slot on BBC TV last weekend, it occurred to me that serious religious believers, as opposed to all the nominally religious ones, waste a huge amount of time and energy reading boring scriptures, worrying about fulfilling their religious obligations, following archaic rituals, and so on, for what? I suppose it's not surprising they get all het up when anyone has the temerity to suggest it's all nonsense, since they've devoted all that time and energy to it. It's how they justify their existence, and it's very sad.

Whether or not Jesus or Mohammed existed, patriarchal religious leaders embellished the stories and exploited their largely illiterate gullible followers. That apparently educated people still believe all that old guff today is depressing.
